The Seven Immaculates

The Immaculates, also known, by more tightly-wound scholars, as the Heptarchs Immaculate.

They are considered immortal and timeless , and many are without issue. Huss, however, arrived at the audience of time with two half-siblings children, The Infatuates, Cadine and Leon, and they are absolutely obsessed with each other.

Gadarene and Eggpipe, too, have been active, producing the thirteen demi-gods know as the Profligates.

Huss, God of Memory & Memory Death
Huss, God of Memory & Memory Death

Caption: Huss with their colorless Staff of Nullity and the All-Ending Bell, a chime which, once struck, emits the tone that vanishes all of existence.

Huss also known as the Syndic of Indelibility. Huss has never known sleep nor touched food. They gain nourishment through endlessly gazing down upon the recurrent burdens of the creatures laboring in the vast universe. When any inhabitant of Refractoria dies, Huss feasts greedily upon their life's memories as they are released into the indelibility—the invisible aethereal quintessence that permeates all of Refractorian space.

Unlike others mostly-childless Immaculates, Huss simply appeared at the beginning of time with his two children—half-siblings, Leon and Cadine, also known as the Infatuates—from an unknown lover who, presumably, was abandoned in the gray unknowable void before Refractorian time. The two half-siblings are OBSESSED with each other to the point that they can do nothing but gaze into each other's eyes.

Praxam, God of the City & Humility (Humiliation?)
Praxam, God of the City & Humility (Humiliation?)

Also known as the Pale Mayor, the Master of Glueyness Archon of Cockroaches. Priest of Disease and Disaster, King of Crows, Rodents and Roaches

Praxam lives in a tall, slender white iron tower in the middle of the City of Sociopaths, the Indelible City, the largest, oldest and most densely populated city in Refractoria and they are thought to be the main instigator of all that takes place there. Their symbol is the Tangled Cross, a stylized representation of Praxam’s "sleeve-tangler," the long pole arm covered in hooks and barbs that they use to snatch and drag back to City of Sociopaths the denizens who try to escape.

Agoglogos, God of Language, Words & Context
Agoglogos, God of Language, Words & Context

Agoglogos’ most common avatar is an four-armed, Ent-like being. Each of his arms is topped with the head of a bitter, babbling head of a rootbaby rather than a hand—it is these heads that speak with Agoglogos’ voice rather than his own.. As he travels the universe, he constantly sheds sheets of vellum and parchment containing both enigmatic illustrations and incomprehensible poetry.

Eggpipe, God of Dusk & Music
Eggpipe, God of Dusk & Music

Superior Junior: Acknowledged more often as Eggpipe*, his common name—he is the most popular of the Refractorian gods. A folk god-hero of almost unrecognizably peculiar caliber, Eggpipe is known to cause harm and chaos wherever he appears rather than to calm or rectify any given situation. Eggpipe provokes the end of each day by coaxing the arrogant sun god, Caesarean Savor, off their rigid path with innumerable tricks, lies, schemes and adulterated liquors. However, his tomfoolery with any being can often veer into cruelty, mishap, and even death. He is as feared as he is revered.

Eggpipe is notoriously unpredictable, often appearing wildly stupid in situations that seem suited for him and, alternately, incredibly wise in settings where he should appear foolish. He is the god of dusk, music, transitions, the god of chicanery and, to some great extent, he is thought to be god of toddlers between the ages of 2-6.

*Eggpipe is also the name of a shrill, egg-shaped clay flute played endlessly by Refractorian children looking to torture their parents.

Gadarene, God of Dawn
Gadarene, God of Dawn

Gadarene (female avatar) God of Escapades and Recklessness, Restorer of the Day/Sunlight, The Morning Dragger, the Resetter, aka The Careless Adventurer. Born mortal, Gadarene cleverly wagered their way into a spot with the Immaculates while betting with Superior Junior (aka Eggpipe). The iron spear, named Counterpoise, is rumored to be heavier than all the stars in the heavens of Refractoria.

Heremet, God of the Missing Moon
Heremet, God of the Missing Moon

Caption: Heremet and the three Rodirons of Night.

God of Night, Heremet, aka Saudade, God of the Absent Moon, the Nocturn. Heremet represents the nothingness that is Refractoria's "missing" moon. It isn't visible but is noticeable nonetheless due to the crushing gravity of its absence felt by all. #refractoria

Cesarean Savor, God of the Sun & Arrogance
Cesarean Savor, God of the Sun & Arrogance

Lord of the Inability to Accept Responsibility.

Haughty beyond comprehension, Savor is immensely strong but he is as dull as a whetstone and, as a result, is easily duped.

At the end of each day, Eggpipe (God of Dusk) leads him astray into the smothering oceans of night (the realm of Heremet.) Sooner or later, depending of the season of the year, Gadarene (God of Dawn) always finds him, lost and bellowing, and fetches him back to the narrow, unvarying daylight path that he prefers.
